    FAQs

    1. What toothpaste is best for my child?

For a three year old, a non fluoride toothpaste is best. A non fluoride toothpaste is made for young kids. It has a milder mint flavor. It is easier to rinse out. It doesn't foam up like adult toothpaste. It has more fun stuff like little characters in their toothpaste. Since three year olds are often stubborn when it comes to brushing their teeth, it is better to have fun toothpaste. A fluoride toothpaste is a good choice for kids between the ages of four and six. Fluoride is an important ingredient for kids to clean their teeth and keep cavities away. But fluoride toothpaste is too strong for three year olds. Some kids spit it out or rinse it out of their mouths because it can irritate their gums. With a non fluoride toothpaste, you can avoid the bad taste and let them have fun.

    2. What kind of toothpaste should a 7 year old use?

If your child cannot spit after brushing, use a small amount of paste on the toothbrush. This is usually around the age of three.

    3. Is fluoride bad for kids?

Young children are advised to spit toothpaste out after using it to avoid fluorosis. Fluorosis can discolor teeth. Fluoride has been linked to neurological conditions such as ADHD in children who were exposed to it at a young age.

    4. What toothpaste should my 9 year old use?

A fluoride toothpaste for children should contain no less than 1,000ppm fluoride (check the label) or between 1,350ppm and 1,500ppm fluoride for a family toothpaste. Toothpaste should only be applied in pea-sized amounts.

    5. At what age should a child use fluoride toothpaste?

Brush your children's teeth with pea-sized amounts of fluoridated toothpaste when they are at least three years old. Your dentist can advise you on the appropriate amount.
